Live & Intimate from the Bathouse: We Are The Same

For one night only, on Monday, April 6th, Cineplex Entertainment presents The Tragically Hip - Live and Intimate from the Bathouse Studio.

This Big Screen event will feature live performances, Q & A and exclusive footage of the band'ss studio and home base, The Bathouse. George Stroumboulopous will host the event and interview the band between live cuts from We Are The Same and classic favorites.

Tickets are available at Cineplex starting on March 20th. Tickets are $20.95 for the performance, or $21.95 that also includes a copy of We Are The Same.

Alright, alright. So it breaks down like this: A regular movie is around $13.50 at Cineplex so one way to look at this deal is we are getting a movie's worth of entertainment for regular price and the new album for $8.45. A good deal by today's standards when you consider tax is included...

OR

...you could take the vantage point that you are getting the album for $1 and you're really psyched that since you paid over $20 for the live portion, good things are ahead. Smiles should be bigger than those seen coming out of a $13.50 movie that same night. No pressure boys. Ha ha.

I for one plan to be there and will be doing my part to ensure it's success from my end. A fatty, a bunch of munchies and a big ass cup of somethingtowashitalldown will be in the arsenal. I don't see how anything can go wrong.

Some interesting venues announced in this latest addition to The Tragically Hip's 2009 summer tour dates. I had a great experience last year at the Highland Bowl in Rochester, NY and I will go into more detail on that.
