The last installment of 'The Hip Covers Project' featured one guy and a piano which I think is a great segue into a head-banging hair metal version of Little Bones.
The band on stage is called Parlor Trixx and they are out of Regina, SK. It looks from their website that they are still active. Anyway, this ties in nicely as well with the fact that The Hip are all over Saskatchewan this summer with 3 shows in the province and one practically on the border.
If there's a song that's ready made for this type of treatment it's Little Bones. I think On The Verge could step right into this type of arena too. Of course what would be really interesting would be to see someone try this style with a song like Greasy Jungle or Something On.
So here's Parlor Trixx doing Little Bones. The crowd is great. Be sure to watch this through till the end. They really finish strong complete with a tandem head-bang sequence.
